The San Diego Padres have acquired Ryan O’Hearn and Ramon Laureano from the Baltimore Orioles, according to Robert Murray. There are no reports on what the return will be for the Orioles.
O’Hearn, 32, is batting .283 with 13 home runs and 43 RBIs this season. Laureano is batting .290 with 15 home runs and 46 RBIs. Both will provide offense to the offense, while O’Hearn can play outfield or first base.
The Padres have been active before the trade deadline, as they are 60-49 this season and hold the last Wild Card spot in the National League.
Baltimore has started to sell at the deadline, as they have traded reliever Seranthony Dominguez and outfielder Cedric Mullins.
