Oakland Athletics 2024 Projected Pitching Rotation

Major League Baseball is about to start and teams have prepared their pitching rotations. Here is the Oakland Athletics 2024 projected pitching rotation.

1. Alex Wood LHP

Wood was on the Giants last season, posting a 5-5 record and a 4.33 ERA. He will now lead the Athletic’s rotation as the Opening Day starter.

2. Paul Blackburn RHP

A long-time member of the A’s, Blackburn had a 4-7 record and 4.43 ERA. The 2024 season will be his eighth in Oakland.

3. JP Sears LHP

Sears didn’t have a good record in 2023, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. He finished the year with a 4.54 ERA, despite only winning five of his 32 starts.

4. Ross Stripling RHP

Stripling was also a Giant in 2023 and now is on the Athletics. In San Francisco last season, he compiled a 0-5 record with a 5.36 ERA as he battled injury.

5. Joe Boyle RHP

After winning two of his three starts last season for the Athletics, Boyle is now projected to make the rotation. He had a 3.29 ERA in the minor leagues.

Notes: Ken Waldichuk (LHP) has an elbow injury and won’t be ready for the start of the season. Luis Medina (RHP), Freddy Tarnok (RHP) and Adrian Martinez (RHP) are also battling for the fifth spot in the rotation.
