The MLB trade deadline can at times become more hectic than the entire MLB offseason. It is when contenders load up on the final pieces they believe they need to go the distance. The deadline also highlights talented veteran players for struggling teams and top prospects for contenders as they usually get swapped for each other.
The deadline usually gets interesting 48 hours before the deadline and this year shouldn’t be an exception. However, with the unorthodox nature of the season, there isn’t major pressure for teams to make moves, especially since the season is just over a month old. But with major names reportedly on the trade block, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a good amount get moved before the August 31, 4 pm ET deadline. Here are what deals have gone down already.
