The MLB season finally has a start date.
After countless negotiations and plans and plenty of controversies, the players will take the field starting on July 23. However, not every player believes the shortened season is worth the risk to themselves and their families.
Players are taking the opportunity to opt out of playing this year, forgoing their salaries and any glory that would come with postseason success. Here, we will keep an updated list of those players. Keep checking back to see who is sitting out.
