The Oakland Athletics have traded for pitcher Mike Minor. In return, the Texas Rangers will receive two players to be named later from the A’s.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported on the trade via Twitter on Monday afternoon.
Minor has spent the last three seasons with the Rangers. In 2020, the 32-year-old is 0-5 with a 5.60 ERA in seven starts. Last season, he went 14-10 with an ERA of 3.59 earning an All-Star selection and coming in eighth place in AL Cy Young voting.
The nine-year veteran will now be joining the AL-West leading A’s from the 12-21 Rangers, who are second to last in their division.
