
The New York Mets have made a trade for pitcher Paul Blackburn of the Oakland A’s according to the Athletic. In return, the Athletics will receive Kade Morris, a minor league pitcher.
Blackburn has started nine games for the A’s this season, going 4-2 with a 4.41 ERA. The 30-year-old has a 21-26 record with an ERA of 4.83 in his career.
The Mets are getting some starting pitching depth, which will help considering Kodai Senga and Christian Scott are currently on the injured list.
The A’s are getting Morris, who has a 3.48 ERA in the minors.
