Publish Date: July 30, 2024

The New York Yankees have completed a trade for relief pitcher Mark Leiter according to Jon Heyman. There is no information on what the Cubs will receive in return for Leiter.

Leiter has played five MLB seasons with the Phillies, Blue Jays and Cubs. This season, he has posted a 2-4 record and 4.21 ERA for the Cubs.

The Yankees are adding another good arm to their bullpen, even though their relievers have been performing well this season with a 3.63 ERA.
