Kenny Golladay will become a free agent after the Detroit Lions decided not to franchise tag him. Golladay has been the number one option at wide receiver while healthy since he arrived in Detroit, but will now be free to sign with any team he wishes.
The NFL’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
The #Lions don’t plan to tag WR Kenny Golladay, per source.
No final decision on whether Detroit may use a tag on someone else, but it appears Golladay is headed to the market.

Golladay’s most productive season came in 2019, when he played all 16 games for the only time in his career. He racked up 1,190 yards and 11 touchdowns that season. 2019 was also his second season in a row in which he eclipsed 1,000 yards.
In 2020, the receiver only played in five games due to injury. Golladay is a little shaky in that department, but will fetch a high price on the open market, if he decides not to resign with the Lions.
