
The Miami Marlins have traded first baseman Josh Bell to the Arizona Diamondbacks for cash considerations according to Jon Heyman.
Bell, 31, is batting .239 with 14 home runs and 49 RBI this season for the Marlins. He has played nine MLB seasons, while hitting .258 with 166 home runs and 591 RBI.
The Diamondbacks lost first baseman Christian Walker to a strained oblique. He underwent an MRI on Tuesday, but there has not been a timetable released for a possible return.
Miami has already traded several of their players this season as they look to build for the future.
