The Los Angeles Dodgers have completed a trade for starting pitcher Jack Flaherty according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. There is no reported return yet for the Tigers.
Flaherty has a 7-5 record and a 2.95 ERA this season for the Tigers. The eight-year veteran has a 49-39 record and a 3.64 ERA in his career.
The Dodgers are 63-44 right now, leading the NL West. They have had injuries to starting pitchers, putting them in the market for more. Dustin May, Walker Buehler, Yoshinobu Yamamoto Emmet Sheehan and Tony Gonsolin are all currently injured.
Detroit is 52-57 and not contending for the playoffs in the American League.
