
The Cleveland Guardians have completed a trade for starting pitcher Alex Cobb from the Giants according to Jeff Passan.
Cobb, 35, has posted a 7-7 record with an ERA of 3.87 this season for the Giants. Over his 12 MLB seasons, Cobb has gone 77-75 with a 3.85 ERA.
The Guardians have added to their rotation before the deadline with the acquisition of Cobb. Cleveland currently has Shane Bieber on the 60-day IL.
San Francisco is currently under .500 at 53-55. Trading Cobb indicates that they may be rebuilding for the future, but their is no reported return in the trade as of yet.
