The Los Angeles Dodgers have completed a trade with the Angels, which will send outfielder Joc Pederson to the Angels. Infielder Luis Rengifo will head to the Dodgers in return. ESPN’s Jeff Passan was the first to report the deal.
Pederson, 27, has spent his entire six-year career with the Dodgers and appeared in one All-Star Game. He is a career .233 hitter with 123 home runs and 287 RBIs. The Dodgers likely made this trade to free up space in the outfield with Mookie Betts joining the team this season.
Rengifo, 22, was just called up to the Angels last season. The middle infielder hit .238 with seven home runs and 33 RBIs.
