Seager, at 27-years-old, had spent his entire major league career with the Los Angeles Dodgers until this new signing. He entered the league in 2015 and has a career average of .297 with 104 home runs and 364 RBI over seven seasons.
Among Seager’s accomplishments are Rookie of the Year (2015), two All-Star selections, two Silver Slugger awards (all in 2016 and 2017) and a World Series championship with Los Angeles. In that World Series victory over the Tampa Bay Rays, he won World Series MVP. He also won NLCS MVP in 2020.
The Rangers are now officially starting their soft rebuild with one of the hottest names on the market in Seager.
