Ward spent just one season with the Reds, as the offense ranked 25th in runs and 24th in batting average. Before his time with the Reds, Ward spent time with the Diamondbacks and Dodgers.
Cincinnati had some talent on offense, but could not generate offense on a consistent basis. Their pitching staff performed well, but the team faltered down the stretch because of the hitting. Now, the Reds will look in a new direction for the 2020 season.
