Braves starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz exits game early

On Tuesday, Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz exited the game early due to tricep tightness in his throwing arm.

The injury is causing him to not finish games, including Tuesday night’s game against the New York Mets. The 26-year-old went five innings and allowed two hits while throwing six strikeouts. After 73 pitches, in the eighth inning, the Braves announced Folty’s exit from the game was because of his tricep injury.

His exist began a questionnaire on twitter. Fans are wondering what will be happening to him next.

The Braves defeated the Mets in that game 8-2. However, fans still speculate whether or not the Braves have lost one of their starting pitchers. After Tuesday’s game was over, manager Chuck Hernandez said he noticed Foltynewicz was dropping down a bit with his mechanics, and that is why he chose to take him out after five innings of work.

The Braves currently hold a 39-28 record with a K/9 rate of 8.88. The Braves need their players to stay in good condition.

According to the MLB, “Foltynewicz began feeling triceps tightness when he completed a bullpen session this past weekend at Dodger Stadium.” Folty told the media he was not happy when he was taken out of the game, but he knew it was for the best. He plans to be a starter in the next game, but it is solely up to the team coach.

Folty described his pain level to the MLB media as “one out of 10.” He currently has a 5-4 record with a 2.16 ERA.

Fans hope to see Folty starting again with the Braves. It is in hopes that he recovers from his injury, so he can continue to bring in wins for the Braves.
