The Atlanta Braves have traded the Colorado Rockies for reliever Tyler Kinley, according to Will Sammon. Atlanta will send an unnamed prospect back to Colorado.
Kinley, 34, is a righty who has a 5.66 ERA in 49 appearances this season. He has played eight MLB seasons with the Rockies, Marlins and Twins with a career ERA of 5.08.
The Braves are 45-61 and 13 games out of a Wild Card spot. They have had injury issues to their pitching staff and need Kinley to eat innings, especially if more of their pitchers are traded before the MLB trade deadline.
