The MLB playoffs are right around the corner as the division and Wild Card races are heating up. Teams like the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees and Houston Astros have all locked up the division as they battle for the best record in baseball. The Minnesota Twins and Atlanta Braves have a seven and six-game division lead respectively. Washington and Cleveland can both make runs at overtaking them, but are running out of time. The St. Louis Cardinals only have a three-game lead over the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central and have to play close to perfect baseball to win another division title.
Washington owns the first wildcard over the cubs in the NL East as they lead them by three games. Chicago has a three-game lead over the surprising Arizona Diamondbacks for the second spot. Over in the AL, the Tampa Bay Rays own a half-game lead over the Oakland Athletics for the first spot and have a one-game lead over the Cleveland Indians. Teams such as the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, and Boston Red Sox are all still in the hunt.
