The newest Un-set finally has it’s release date set. Magic: The Gathering has a long history of creating sets that are meant to break all the rules in Magic, and bring a few laughs along the way. The latest addition to the Un-set is Unfinity, which centers around a grand carnival set in space.

The Un-sets are whacky, goofy and overall unpredictable. They feature cards with decimal power and toughness. Cards sometimes force player to take actions outside of the game, like eating a candy bar or buying your opponent a pack of cards. Unfinity looks to bring more of that same fun into draft environments when it releases October 7.

Observent Magic players will notice that Unfiinty already had a release date noted late last year. However, there was a delay in the production of the set that pushed back the release date for later in 2022. Previously the set had a initial release date of April 1, 2022. Though it would have been a very appropriate release date for the set, it may have been more of a joke on the players than anything else. Either way, the new release date has been unveiled, and players can start making plans to draft the new Un-set.
Un-sets are not legal in any other format, except of course for casual tabletop play. Some play groups have allowed un-cards to be in commander lists if they aren’t too out of the ordinary as well. With the newest set around the corner, players are ready to see what weird happenings go on in space.
