It’s been a wild year for standard players. Throne of Eldraine pushed the limits of overall card-strength in a standard set. Ikoria introduced Companions, a card type that was immediately reworked to be less oppressive. And of course, there was everyone’s favorite titan Uro – a card so good, it was actually suboptimal to not play it. Players feel like standard is stale and a bit boring. They need something to revitalize the format and bring some life back into the game. The players want something that always delivers.
Wizards knows exactly what to do. It’s time to bring back old reliable. It’s time, for Innistrad.

Coming this September, Magic the Gathering will make a third trip to one of the most beloved settings in the game. Innistrad as a plane is a fan-favorite thanks to it’s incredible atmosphere and it’s knack for creating amazing gameplay. Players will get their hands on the newest set on September 24.
The Midnight Hunt release date was pushed back due to a shifted release timeline. Wizards of the Coast was previously worried about the release of Jumpstart: Historic Horizons and decided to push adjust their release schedule.

Midnight Hunt centers is story around one of the lesser explored tribes in Innistrad. Werewolves are a mainstay in the Innistrad story, but now it is their time in the spotlight. Well, moonlight. It appears as Arlinn Kord may be the key figure in this set, as she appears in a werewolf form on the cover art. Players can get excited about a potential new flip planeswalker card in standard.
