The Game Haus will be analyzing the player ratings from Madden 20 of every NFL team. Madden has a daunting task of rating all NFL players and their attributes. While they have the ability to correct some of these rankings with in-season roster updates, there are some issues with some of the initial rankings of players. Here are the Madden 20 questionable ratings: Philadelphia Eagles.
Malcolm Jenkins- 92
Jenkins has been a leader at the back of the defense for the Eagles for five seasons. He had 97 tackles, one interception and eight passes defended last season for Philadelphia. Although he is a good safety, Madden gave him a rating of 92, which is high enough to be the third-best safety in the game.
He was rated higher than Jamal Adams of the New York Jets, who had 115 total tackles, 3.5 sacks and an interception. Adams was given a rating of 90. Jenkins still deserves to be highly rated, but 92 is a little too much.
Adjusted Rating- 89
Lane Johnson- 89
Johnson is one of the best tackles in football, proving it consistently over the last few years. He had another good year in 2018 for the Eagles. While he did get a solid 89 rating by Madden, he deserves even better than that to make the game more accurate.
He is the seventh-best tackle in the game, but should move up a spot on the list. He is better than Joe Staley of the San Francisco 49ers, but Staley was given a 90 overall rating. Staley can stay at a 90 rating, but only if Johnson gets his rating boosted a few points.
Adjusted Rating- 91
Brandon Graham- 89
The Eagles have had a good pass rusher in Graham for years, but he didn’t have his best output last season. He had just four sacks, which were his fewest since 2013. Despite not having his best season, Madden still gave him an 89 rating.
Graham is rated higher than plenty of people who were more productive than him last season. His rating needs to be dropped a few points to compensate. He is currently rated the same as DeMarcus Lawrence, who had 12.5 sacks last season.
Adjusted Rating- 85
Jalen Mills- 74
Mills didn’t play well last season and had a foot injury that ended his season after eight games. Even though he didn’t play well, Madden gave Mills a very low rating. His 74 rating makes him one of the worst starting corners in the game.
Madden rated Mills lower than three other corners on his own team heading into this season. While Mills shouldn’t be one of the best corners in the game, he does deserve a ratings boost and to be the second-best corner on his own team.
Adjusted Rating- 78
