There are a few things all humans can count on: death, Taxes and another year of Madden NFL football. Madden 26 revealed Saquon Barkley as their cover athlete after an amazing season and a Super Bowl win. With it, there are still some questions that need to be answered. Such as, is Madden 26 on Xbox Game Pass?
Madden 26 will not be on Xbox Game Pass on Release Day.
That being said, it will most certainly be on Game Pass in the future. Likely, sometime around the Super Bowl or soon after that. This is something that has happened for 24 and 25, thus setting up a pattern. For those of you who may not know for some reason, that would be in February of 2026.
The Madden 26 Release Date will be August 14, 2026. You can order the MVP Bundle and Deluxe Edition and get the game a full week early.
This is one of the biggest release date differences that many people can think of. Normally, it is just a few days, College Football 26 was basically just a weekend more of time. Instead, Madden went for the full seven days early. It has felt more and more likely that this was going to happen at some point and it makes sense for it to be Madden. Some players are likely getting the Deluxe Edition just for the MUT bonuses.

Madden 26 has received some major changes to a decent portion of the game.
The graphics are obviously better but they are bringing the Wear and Tear system seen in College Football 26. Along with this Franchise has undergone some massive changes, especially to coaches. They matter so much more and will require you to make adaptations for each of them along with coordinators. There is so much more but this Madden does feel like it could be trending in the right direction.
