First Look at Offensive Superstars on New Teams in Madden NFL 22

New Teams Madden 22

Though the first wave of NFL Free agency has died down, a number of superstars in the NFL have changed teams. TGH previews the first look at the top superstars on new NFL teams in Madden 22.

NFL Offseason 2022

The NFL Offseason normally sees its biggest fireworks in the first wave of free agency, but a number of trades over the past few weeks have shaken the state of the league. Historically a valued currency in the NFL, high-draft picks normally are not traded for players other than quarterbacks. The recent success of the Los Angeles Rams, highlighted by trading multiple first-round picks for franchise cornerstones Matthew Stafford and Jalen Ramsey, has created a ripple effect in the league: teams are now trading multiple first-round picks for NFL superstars. TGH reviews the top offensive superstars to change teams this offseason.

Tyreek Hill (96)

Key Ratings: 99 acceleration, 98 agility, 90 catching

Superstar X-Factor: Rac’Em Up (wins RAC catches vs single coverage)

Season Stats: 111 receptions, 1,239 yards, 9 touchdowns

Here’s a preview of what’s to come in Miami:

The most recent superstar trade may potentially be the most impactful, as Tyreek Hill is now a Miami Dolphin. In a cap-space saving move, the Kansas City Chiefs sent Hill in exchange for five draft picks:

  • 1st-round pick (2022)
  • 2nd-round pick (2022)
  • 4th-round pick (2022)
  • 4th and 6th round picks (2023)

After receiving a new deal (four years, $120 million), the expectation is for Hill to serve as a deep threat and continue his All-Pro production.

Russell Wilson (88)

Key Ratings: 92 throwing power, 90 deep/short throw accuracy, 85 speed

Superstar X-Factor: Blitz Radar (highlights extra blitzers)

Season Stats: 3,113 yards, 25 touchdowns

An offseason of uncertainty over the status of Russel Wilson finally ended in a trade, where the former Seattle Seahawks quarterback was sent over for both players and draft picks including:

  • Drew Lock (QB)
  • Noah Fant (TE)
  • Shelby Harris (DL)
  • Multiple 2022 picks (1st round, 2nd round, 5th round)
  • Multiple 2023 picks (1st round, 2nd round)

Wilson joins a Denver Broncos team expected to contend immediately in the shaken-up AFC West division.  Despite a 7-10 record last season, the Broncos had one of the top defenses in the NFL and were believed to be a quarterback away from competing for a championship. After forcing his way out of Seattle, the pressure is on the former Super Bowl Champion (2014) to deliver in one of the most talented divisions in the NFL.

Devonte Adams (99)

Key Ratings: 99 catching, 99 release, 99 spectacular catch/catch in traffic

Superstar X-Factor: Double Me (wins aggressive catches vs single coverage)

Season Stats: 3,113 yards, 25 touchdowns

Changes were expected for the Green Bay Packers, and the first chip to fall was moving Devonte Adams. The All-Pro wide-receiver joins the Las Vegas Raiders and reunites with former college quarterback Derek Carr. Recording the second most receptions in the NFL (123),  third-most receiving yards (1,553) and hauling in 11 touchdowns in the NFL creates the expectation that Adams will be the final offensive piece to push the Raiders into championship status and elevate a passing attack led by Carr (4,804 yards, 23 touchdowns), Pro-Bowl wideout  Hunter Renfrow (103 receptions, 1,038 yards, 9 touchdowns) and recent All-Pro tightend Darren Waller returning from injury.

As the NFL Draft draft nears, be on the lookout for previews of players on new teams in Madden 22 as multiple quarterbacks (Baker Mayfield, Jimmy Garoppolo) will find new homes.
