Since it’s initial launch, The Game Haus has been
tracking the release of Legends of Runeterra. Today, we finally have some exciting updates to share. Chief among them, that Legends of Runeterra will be entering into its
PC-only Open Beta on January 24
at 11:00 am PST. From that point forward, players will be able to play on the same account, without resets, allowing players on the Open Beta to get ahead on beginning their collection. This, all leading up to the game’s official launch.
The Open Beta does not yet have an exact end date, however, League of Legends has confirmed that the game will have its official launch, including its release on mobile, sometime later in 2020. However, the game’s upcoming Open Beta should offer more than enough to keep players busy until the game’s full launch.
The Open Beta patch includes a variety of new features and content, including ranked mode, a friends list, challenge-a-friend functionality and new boards and guardians. Along with all of these exciting introductions, Legends of Runeterra’s Open Beta will also update at least 20 of the game’s current cards, including some major changes to Anivia, and making a variety of other improvements. Look for the full patch notes at 11:00 am PST on January 22. Lastly, anyone who plays during Open Beta will receive an exclusive Moonstruck Poro Guardian once Legends of Runeterra fully launches later in 2020.
To get fully ready for the game’s Open Beta, be sure to head to www.playruneterra.com prior to January 20, 2020 and make an account. This will give you early access to the Open Beta on January 23, one day earlier than anyone else. After that, simply download the game and get playing on the Open Beta as we await the full release on mobile and PC later in 2020.
In a week full of League of Legends news and updates, Legends of Runeterra is the latest to get more information for its 2020 roadmap. Yesterday more was released on League’s new tabletop and animated series and the day before that Warriors was released. All of this begs the question, what exciting news can fans expect through the rest of the week? Stay tuned here at The Game Haus to find out.
