The regular season is over and 22 teams have locked in their place at Worlds 2023 for League of Legends. This means that Worlds will be just around the corner. Normally there is a bit of an off time to allow teams to travel and prepare for the month-long grind to become the Worlds Champions. This year will be a lot like last year where the teams likely headed out early. Here is a look at Worlds 2023 Start date.

This year, Worlds will be heading back to South Korea for the first time since 2018. For how historic the country is in terms of League of Legends Esports, it is a bit surprising to see that it has taken this long to head back. This is mostly due to COVID moving things to Iceland for a bit but fans there will certainly be excited to have them back.
This year will be the first one with a very new format.
Play-In Stage
There will be two brackets that are double-elimination to give teams at least four games at Worlds. The two teams that come out on top will make it to the next stage.
Swiss Format
This is where things get very interesting. This will be the first year that 16 teams will battle it out in a Swiss-style format. Once a team is at three losses they will be eliminated or if they reach three wins they will advance. It will be a new take but one that fans are excited about.
Knockouts
This one has not changed whatsoever. Teams are in best-of-five matches until a team is crowned as the champion.
The Worlds 2023 Start Date and Time will be 10/10/2023 around 5 am or 6 am EST.
