Riftbound has taken the TCG world by storm for good and bad reasons. Quality issues and printing aside, many feel that the League of Legends TCG is here to stay. As we head into 2026 many are going to want to know more about what is coming next. Such as, what is the Riftbound Unleashed Release Date?

Riftbound Unleashed Release Date

The Riftbound Unleashed Release Date is officially Q2 of 2026 but some marketing material has leaked with a May 8, 2026 release date.

This will be the first time that China will not be receiving the set early. After bootstrapping the game over the past few years, it will be caught up and ready to start shipping worldwide at the same time. This is no small deal for Riot Games as it was something they had set out to do from the start. Getting the rest of the world caught up and having releases like this should help quite a bit.

Riftbound Unleashed Cards

We do not know much about the Riftbound Unleashed Cards just yet.

What are do know is that Rengar, Vi, LeBlanc and Master Yi will be arriving to the Set. It is the first time we will have a completely new card for a Champion and Legend. At least, unless Spiritforged has any surprises for us.

Master Yi has been a menace for man in the current meta and seeing a new card for him may bring about some PTSD. That being said, it will be interesting to see why they decided to do this when there are over 160 champions to pick from. Having a repeat early must mean that they have something interesting in store for us.

LoL TCG’s Future

The future of Riftbound is certainly an interesting one.

Because of League’s popularity, the game was bound to have success. But with production and quality issues, many have been worried about its future. Getting the cards cut correctly and making sure there are enough is a massive issue and one that the Dev team will have to address.

If they do not do so quickly, this could be a huge flash in the pan for Riot Games. Considering how carefully Riot has protected their IPs in the past, they will give this one a real shot, especially considering how much money the TCG has likely already made the company.
