While champions are not releasing at the rate they used to, the League of Legends champions are still pumping our three to four a year. The next major champion was just revealed in the trailer for Season 2 in 2025, which sends us to Ionia. Here is a look at the new LoL Champion, Yunara, and her release date.
The LoL Yunara Release Date will likely be with LoL patch 25.13 or 25.14 on June 25, 2025 or July 16, 2025 respectively.
This is mainly speculated due to a post by a League of Legends Leaks and News account claiming she will come later in Season 2 which means it will likely be a few more months before we see Yunara.
Yunara will be the second champion of 2025 after Mel Medarda and in a surprise twist, has been confirmed to be a new ADC. This comes a little more than a year after the release of Smolder at the beginning of 2024. It seems as though Supports will have to wait a bit longer.
With the way that League of Legends is starting to create champions, they really should expect one new support every other year or so but it is still a nice addition. Along with this, they are all going to be themed with the seasons. This season will be set in Ionia after Season 1 was in Noxus.

The LoL Yunara abilities are currently unknown.
As always, there will be speculation based on how a champion is revealed and based on leaks. It seems as though she may have something to do with lotus’s, which is not exactly new for an Ionian champion. How this will play could be interesting, though, as it seems it has some effect on Xin Zhao when he touches the same lotus. Could she be able to communicate with units across the map or have some sort of global ultimate?
Either way, as soon as anything is leaked or officially shown, this post will be updated.
