There are new skins attached to every new season of League of Legends. Especially with the Regional Theming that each new season is receiving. With that being said, players were probably not ready for this one. Petricite Cho’Gath may be a new LoL Skin coming in early 2026.
Everyone knows that Galio is made of the stuff but a LoL Petricite Cho’Gath Skin was likely not on anyone’s radar.
Below is an image of the new skin from a known leaker in BigBadBear.

As always, take things with a grain of salt but this leaker has a pretty good tracker record. They generally know things at least an hour ahead of time and often days ahead of time if they are able to get it all out there.

It would seem as though Galio will play an important part in 2026 Demacian Storyline. Either that or they are turning other big champions from League of Legends into Petricite guardians like he is.
This skin is a very good design and players, Cho’Gath mains especially, will certainly be chomping at the bit to get it.
Answering the first question, this probably does not mean that Cho’Gath is getting a remake or even a new model. Fans have been begging for one for years but to no avail. His will probably be updated once we start talking about the Void more. That could be years from now.
As for 2026, this is a very different story. Nearly every themed skin for a season in 2025 was related to the region League was going to along with it being for champions from that region. Cho’Gath is not one of those. So could that mean they are expanding or could this actually mean that they are putting Cho’Gath in this region for something else in the future of the story?
Either way, this is an exciting first look into more of what we could hear about in the coming weeks before 2026 hits.
