The 2019 LCS Spring split was left with drama until the final nexus exploded. The best three teams in North America (TSM, Cloud9 and Team Liquid) were all a part of the craziness that was the back to back reverse sweeps in the playoffs. TSM is coming off of a crushing Spring Finals Loss against Team Liquid and is seeking revenge on the three time North American Champions.
GAME 1: TEAM LIQUID
TSM looks to gain revenge on Team Liquid in a rematch of the 2019 Spring Finals. This is the most hyped match heading into the first week of LCS action. TSM is favored heading into the matchup, having had more time to prepare following Team Liquids incredible display at the Mid Season Invitational. TSM should not allow themselves to be caught off guard, however, despite the lack of practice following MSI Team Liquid are still the best team in North America.
GAME 2: COUNTER LOGIC GAMING
What was once labelled an epic rivalry in North America is now just a shade of its former self. TSM has not lost to CLG in over 3 years and there is no reason as to why that is going to change in Week 1 of the Summer Split. It will be interesting to see how Kim “Ruin” Hyeong-Min will do in his LCS debut, however it is unlikely going to be enough to stop the monster that is TSM.
TSM need to start off strong if they are looking to stay ahead of the pack. With Cloud9 having a week in which they should also finish 2-0, TSM needs to do everything in their power to ensure Team Liquid is below them in the standings, meaning they can only meet the North American powerhouse in the Finals.
