The teams for the League of Legends tournament at Twitch Rivals have been drafted. Popular streamers such as Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp, Hammoudi “Moe” “Yassuo” A. and Michael “Imaqtpie” Santana are some of the team captains competing for the grand prize of $25,000. The drafting phase occurred on November 8, and the games will be played from November 22-26. This tournament is great for viewers that are impatient for the 2020 spring split. The following are some of the best teams at Twitch Rivals for the League of Legends tournament.
Tyler1’s Team
Tyler1 is one of the most popular League of Legends streamers. He has drafted an incredible team with several highly-talented players. The roster consists of former TSM support, Alex “Xpecial” Chu, Challenger jungler “Tarzaned“, Challenger Riven main and streamer for CLG “Adrian Riven” and 100 Thieves mid-laner Max “Soligo” Soong. This team will look to play around their strengths in the early game with picks like Draven, Riven and Elise. Xpecial is also a coach for Harrisburg University, so expect to hear plenty of shot-calling from him throughout games.
TF Blade’s Team
Ashkan “TF Blade” Homayouni is a sub for Team Liquid, and he has reached rank one Challenger on four different servers. TF Blade has drafted Challenger jungler Luke “Metaphor” Canning, Challenger Fizz main “QuantumFizzics“, Jhin main “IKeepItTaco” and Cloud9 Academy support David “Diamond” Bérubé. TF Blade has astonishing mechanics in 1v1 and even 1v2 situations. This team will look to keep the pressure up on the bottom side of the map, and allow TF Blade to outplay his opponents.
Yassuo’s Team
Yassuo is a streamer for 100 Thieves and is known for his mastery of the champion Yasuo. Yassuo has drafted streamer “Sanchovies“, jungler for Golden Guardians Academy Anthony “Hard” Barkhovtsev, the bot-laner for 100 Thieves Academy Jacob “Prismal” Feinstein and streamer “shadyl0l“. As an incredible Yasuo player, expect Yassuo to sculpt their team composition to include plenty of knock-ups from champions like Gragas and Alistar to enable his ultimate, Last Breath.
Nightblue3’s Team
Rabia “Nightblue3” Yazbek is a Challenger jungler and former sub for TSM. Nightblue3 has drafted the top-laner for FlyQuest Academy Mohamed “Revenge” Kaddoura, the mid-laner for Radiance Jackson “KatEvolved” Dohan, streamer “LOLGERANIMO” and former TSM sub Johnny “Swifte” Ngo. KatEvolved is considered one of the best Katarina players, so expect Nightblue3’s team to take advantage of this strength. Nightblue3 is one of the best junglers in this tournament, so expect him to be the main shot-caller.
Conclusion
Scrims for the tournament have already begun, so tune into the respective streams to watch how teams are preparing. The format is blind pick, so each player will always have access to their best champions and it’s possible for mirror matches to occur. Twitch Rivals is full of friendly rivalries between players, so expect to see some on-stage drama. The rest of the teams competing in Twitch Rivals can be found here.
