After a very long wait, TSM have finally announced their new support. The player taking over the role from SwordArt will be Shenyi. The details of the deal are not yet known but the 19-year-old player will be making his way over from the LDL, the LPL’s Academy system, to the LCS for the first time. He has been a substitute support for FunPlue Phoenix for the past year. Here is the latest on the TSM Shenyi deal.

According to reports, TSM has essentially been having tryouts over in China and Korea looking for their next star players. Many believe they have been looking for young talent to bring over to the LCS for years to come. This is why they have been relatively inactive during free agency when every other LCS team has their roster completed.
In order to do this, TSM needed to fill out their three native slots. What was already known was that Huni and Spica would carry over from the 2021 roster. Then came the signing of Tactical meaning that top, jungle and adc were filled. After this came a plethora of different rumors about who TSM’s mid and support would be. Nearly every new possible option has been considered by the TSM fan base as they waited for the moves to be official.
With the signing of Shenyi, TSM are getting a young support who is known for playing engage heavy tanks over the course of his short career. Being stuck behind world champion Crisp has seemingly held him back from getting his chance. Now in the LCS Shenyi will have the opportunity to show his skills and help TSM try to make their way back to prominence as many have their doubts about the team.
