The hot stove, as it is referred to during the MLB offseason, is starting to heat up for the LCS in a major way. Rumors and leaks are flying around with LCS free agency merely two weeks away. With that, there is still time to make some predictions about where players could go and with the news of Bjergsen leaving TL, things are still seemingly very much up in the air for most LCS 2023 Rosters. Here is the “October 27th Edition” of the predictions for the LCS 2023 Rosters.

100 Thieves
Top: Tenacity
Jng: Closer
Mid: Vetheo
ADC: FBI
Sup: Busio
There is one thing that fans can count on, 100 Thieves fielding a solid 2023 roster for their LCS squad. They are consistently making moves and grabbing from just about everywhere. This time 100T bring up Tenacity and Busio, their star Academy players to match with Closer and FBI. Then they make the splash to bring in Vetheo. His ability to be aggressive and give a lane for Closer to consistently play around should instantly put this team near the top of the LCS. That is, as long as Tenacity and Busio are able to handle the transition.
Counter-Logic Gaming
Top: Ssumday
Jng: Contractz
Mid: Palafox
ADC: Luger
Sup: Poome
CLG come into 2023 in this scenario believing that the improvements they made during the Summer were just the beginning. Because of this they try to keep the gang together and hope that they will continue to climb. The only addition and one that could be pretty significant is Ssumday. With a top laner that has an incredible amount of experience, that is still playing at a high level and that they can basically just plug in, CLG instantly become better. How much better will be the real question. With the LCS seemingly going for younger, less experienced talent in 2023, CLG could benefit.
Cloud9
Top: Fudge
Jng: Blaber
Mid: Jensen
ADC: Berserker
Sup: CoreJJ
Most Cloud9 fans would probably want the team to go after someone like Vetheo but in this scenario, he goes to 100 Thieves instead. While they absolutely could go with Copy in order to bring up some more young NA talent and see how they do, Cloud9 are in a prime position. They already have solid pieces and just need to build on what they have already built. Bringing in CoreJJ does this and possibly more. He brings stability and helps to make Berserker even better. The fact that Berserker could learn from the best LCS Support in history and a literal World Champion would be something that would pay off for C9 now and for the future as well. This one change should make them the favorites to win the LCS and hopefully perform better at Worlds.
Dignitas
Top: Dhokla
Jng: eXyu
Mid: Takeover
ADC: Johnsun
Sup: Biofrost
No team in the LCS has more to work to do and less to do it with. Because of this, they will likely go with the most budget roster in the LCS. That being said, Dignitas is the perfect place to try and resurrect a career or show a better team that 2024 could be a good time to pick them up. This roster does a lot of that. Dhokla, Johnsun and Biofrost all join to show that they can still play at a high level. While eXyu gets more time and Takeover tries to show that what he did in 2022 should have earned him a spot on a better squad. Of nearly every team in the LCS this one is by far the hardest to predict as no one even knows if they will still be in the league. That is why this becomes a land for misfit toys in a certain sense.
Evil Geniuses
Top: Impact
Jng: Inspired
Mid: jojopyun
ADC: Neon
Sup: Vulcan
While Kaori played his heart out the last couple weeks of 2022 for this team, they were still not playing at their best during Worlds. Even with that, they still were arguably the best LCS team there and one has to wonder what they could have done with Danny. Alas, this scenario sees Danny stepping away for the 2023 season and EG going all in to get one of the biggest surprises in the LEC in 2022, Neon. This squad would instantly be up with Cloud9 and 100T as a favorite to win the LCS. Neon will be a target that is not talked about as much as he should be and EG will let everyone else fight over Upset while they grab what could be the better option.
FlyQuest
Top: Philip
Jng: Santorin
Mid: toucouille
ADC: Kaori
Sup: aphromoo
FlyQuest are another team with some question marks surrounding them. Mostly because they were just bought out by the owners of the Florida Panthers. Will they have more money or less? There is a real world where this team doesn’t have a single player from last year. Of all of them, toucouille feels like the one that should be kept considering how well he played in his first LCS season. The team has stated before that they believe in Philip and Josedeodo but it feels like the newer ownership may not be as committed. They bring back Santorin who would be amazing for both Philip and toucouille in their development. Then there is the stalwart in aphromoo who just turned 30 and still is helping young ADCs level up. This is where the change could help FlyQuest get a lot better quickly. Kaori, all things considered, looks like he could be the next LCS star ADC. With aphromoo helping Kaori, things for FlyQuest start to look great for 2023 and beyond.
Golden Guardians
Top: Licorice
Jng: River
Mid: Ablazeolive
ADC: Tactical
Sup: Prismal
This team should have been so much better in 2022. For 2023 though, Golden Guardians are going in the direction that Inero mentioned in his insights video. That makes things a bit easier to try and predict for this squad. Whether this is year one or two in his plan is not entirely clear but sticking with generally the same team as 2022 makes sense. More time together should only help them get closer to what the expectations were for the Summer Split. Adding Tactical brings another veteran in accordance to the year one plan and is someone who still has room to grow alongside Prismal. All five of these veteran players will have the opportunity to prove that they can be a part of Golden Guardians’ long-term plan.
Immortals
Top: Revenge
Jng: Kenvi
Mid: Copy
ADC: Lost
Sup: huhi
Is this a team that initially strikes fear into the hearts of their enemies? No. But is it one that could if their top side of the Rift develops like many hope they will? Absolutely. IMT are pretty set on their belief in Revenge and he has been rewarding them by consistently getting better. Add in that Kenvi started looking stronger as the Summer went on and those two can certainly be the two pillars of this squad. Lost staying probably confuses some people but he showed flashes again last split. This is probably his last chance to try and stick though. The additions to IMT are solid in completely different ways. Copy comes in as someone who has deserved a chance but probably was not ready, until now. Then huhi is able to bring the stability and veteran presence that Immortals had probably hoped that IgNar would bring in the Summer. Again this team may not start off strong but given time they could come together to be a very interesting team.
Team Liquid
Top: Solo
Jng: Will
Mid: Haeri
ADC: Yeon
Sup: Eyla
Another really difficult team to predict here. TL are making a ton of changes both on the team and with the coaching staff. Steve made it clear that the way they do things overall was going to be different from here on out as well. Which likely means TL will not be the big spenders that they were. Luckily they have the best NA Academy team to draw from. That is why they bring up Haeri, Yeon and Eyla. This allows TL to see who they can start building around for the future. Solo is brought in because he has shown the proclivity to be a cheap option that can play with nearly anyone and will still provide value as a weakside Top Laner. What Steve does spend money on is buying out the contract of a relatively unknown but strong talent in Will from 100 Thieves. Of all the prospects out there, Will is probably the one that is not getting nearly enough attention. He would be the crown jewel for what will likely be a tough offseason for Team Liquid fans.
TSM
Top: S0ul
Jng: Spica
Mid: Bjergsen
ADC: Carzzy
Sup: Chime
Honestly, if this all happens, TSM fans will be thrilled. It is not likely but, with no other real options and teams willing to spend, Spica and Bjergsen reconcile their differences with TSM. It is likely that Spica wanted to play on Team Liquid. But with their spending habits changing and no other teams having both a jungle and mid openings, at least ones that either would likely want to play for, Spica gets his wish to play with Bjergsen again. TSM are already likely to keep Chime, which is well-deserved on his end. Then they bring back up S0ul who will hopefully feel more ready to take on the task. Lastly, after not having much interest in the Academy pool and probably feeling that Instinct is still a bit off, TSM bring in Carzzy. The former top LEC ADC will probably want to reset after a terrible year on Vitality. On TSM he is still given the clout he wants and helps make this TSM squad pretty formidable. While this is completely banking on Carzzy being available and wanting to move to NA, it does not seem to be out of the realm of possibility right now considering just how bad 2022 was for him.
As a reminder, these LCS 2023 Rosters are mainly just predictions based on contracts that are up and what teams feel like they might do. There is a very high chance that most of these predictions for LCS 2023 Rosters are wrong but, some of them would be interesting and would hopefully make the LCS better. Truthfully, this will be a very wild offseason as team’s investments and expectations change. Fans better buckle up.
