Players have been wondering who the next League of Legends Champion would be. We are in Demacia, so as many have assumed, the next champion will likely be from Demacia. According to the latest leaks, the new League of Legends Champion may be named Locke. See what the leaks are saying and what has been shown of him so far.
Recent rumors and leaks have been leading us away from the Crownguards and more towards the potentially new League of Legends Champion, Locke.
A lot of this information is coming from a known Riot Games leaker in Big Bad Bear. In their latest leak, they show off a new motion comic that focuses on Garen. In this, he is in a tavern sometime after the attack that was shown in the 2026 opening Cinematic.
Here, he is confronted by someone whose brother died in the attack and we find out that it was specifically targeting Garen. While this character is upset, Garen shows him kindness and even believes that he should be dead over the brother.
In this, we are also shown a character who has goggles similar to Vayne and with a nail being used to hold up his cloak. This character is believed to be Locke.

For a few weeks now, there have been rumors of the next champion using Nails in a similar way to a character from Jujutsu Kaisen.
Locke will be able to use one big nail and then his abilities will come from that. The leaks are saying they are soul related so it looks like there may be another mage coming from Demacia. We will have to see but it looks like there is a chance Locke will be revealed and released sometime in March 2026.
