The 2026 League of Legends year started with players in Demacia. After spending most of the last year in Ionia and getting a new Ionian Champion last in Zaahen, many are wondering what or who we will get next. See what we know so far about the New Demacia LoL Champion arriving in 2026.
There have been a few different leaks and discussions, thanks to leakers like BigBadBear, surrounding the New 2026 Demacia LoL Champion.
The three big names that have come up are Tianna Crownguard, Cithria and “The Rose Knight”. We are going to break down each one and what their likelihood is to find their way to Summoner’s Rift.
Let’s start with the one that we know the least about, “The Rose Knight”.
According to the Leaks, this champion is one that was a concept from leaks back in 2024. This was at the same time that they were testing out abilities for the champion that eventually became Mel Medarda. There is a chance that this is someone from Fiora’s family, as the rose is a symbolic part of what she does. This includes being in her ultimate ability.
Chances: Very Low
The chances that they put out another champion that has the exact same aesthetic as Fiora feel unlikely. Especially with the other options. Now, they could fold that into a different champion similar to Mel, but a Rose Knight feels very vague and only like the start of a concept, more so than something they will actually follow through with.

Cithria began her journey into the hearts of League fans in Legends of Runeterra.
She was someone looking for a career and found herself in the vanguard of Demacia’s elite warriors. With so much of her story being told, it feels like it is more of an if than when for Cithria. There is little doubt that she will be in some form of media outside of LoR at some point but will it be on Summoner’s Rift?
Chances: 50/50
Cithria would be an interesting character who could almost mirror Rell in her journey. Considering the Black Rose is a major theme in the current story, this could definitely be possible. The biggest question would be her abilities and how to have her feel different from the other Demacian champions in the game. If they found a good way for her to be unique, then it would make her a very easy choice.
We have been looking for a real “villain,” or at least someone who plays a major role in the oppression of mages in Demacia. Tianna Crownguard is that person.
She, like Cithria, was once the leader of the Demacian elite Vanguard and has become the leader of Demacia’s army. Along with this, her husband leads the Mageseekers. You could think of her as the opposite of Swain and someone who could be a formidable opponent for him. Being Garen and the ever-important Lux’s Aunt helps as well.
Chances: Likely
Not only is Tianna a major player in the background, but she has also moved to the forefront, literally. She is the one teaching Lux about the history of Demacia in the new client-side game, Demacia Rising. We get a look at who she is and more about her personality. It feels like Riot Games would not give Tianna Crownguard such a big spotlight unless they intended to use her.
