The first new champion of 2024 has finally been revealed. There have been some teases of him and some very small leaks but surprisingly nothing major was leaked. Instead, Smolder was shown on the League of Legends Twitter. Here is a look at the cute new ADC Dragon, Smolder and his LoL Release Date.

The LoL Smolder Release Date should be sometime around League of Legends patch 14.2 which should fully release on January 24, 2024.
This has not been confirmed yet but, it is normally how Riot Games and the League of Legends dev team do the releases of the first champions in 2024.
With that, the little dragon should actually be coming to the PBE soon. The LoL Smolder PBE Release Date should be with League of Legends patch 14.1 on January 10, 2024.
The LoL Smolder Abilities have not been revealed yet but the first cinematic always gives some hints. Also, there has been some speculation to his abilities though.
There were many who felt as though his auto-attacks would be fire-breath-based. To what degree is currently unknown. With ADC champions they like to push the boundaries and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Smolder have a new auto mechanic and one that could be pretty game-changing.
With that, it feels unlikely that they would make him too similar to the other dragons in the game like Shyvana and Aurelion Sol.
Surely, he will have some sort of short jump or means of escape as the initial Tweet discussed and showed dragons flying. Also, he talks about gold and maybe there is a Draven-type mechanic there where he gets extra gold from somewhere outside of minions, kills, etc.
This is not the most in-depth journalism, but it is what we have to go on so far. That being said, it seems like he will be revealed in his entirety shortly and once he does this will be updated.

The other Smolder skin will have to do with the Lunar New Year. What it looks like is not known yet but there is a good chance it will leak soon.
When looking at these skins, it will be pretty basic for starters but there is a lot that Smolder may be able to do. With him being another confirmed champion from Camavor, there is the Ruination, Sentinels and quite a bit more for the League team to do with him. Seeing as he is a cute dragon and an ADC, it seems likely that they will focus on getting him skins on a consistent basis.
As of right now, there are not a ton of LoL Smolder Leaks. Once there is more than what is discussed above, this will be updated.
