Before the LEC started Friday, they announced that players would be going back to the studio for the LEC playoffs. This comes as the LEC heads into its final week of play with G2 topping the standings and Rogue close behind. No doubt, fans will be excited to see the players back in studio.

Ever since COVID-19 shut down the world, LEC pros have been playing from home or in their team’s facility. This means that since around week seven of the 2020 LEC Spring Split, teams have not been in the studio. Luckily the casters have been there which has definitely helped but this is a major step towards normality in League of Legends.
One thing that was not mentioned was what was happening with the fans. It does not seem as though fans will be allowed back in the studios even for playoffs.
Worlds 2020 was the first time that things had felt even semi-normal for the League of Legends scene. Players were on stage along with fans being in the stands. Now as vaccines rollout and cases start to drop, the hope will be that getting things close to the way they were will come soon.
This is a major announcement for the LEC and many LCS fans will wonder if the LCS will be announcing the same sometime soon? Make sure to be on the lookout for that potential announcement in the future.
