The LEC is back for the Summer with some teams making a lot of changes and others sticking with their five from the Spring. Each of these teams will be duking it out to not only win an LEC Championship but also to get the chance to go to Worlds. With that people may be wondering who to pick on their way to Worlds. Here are the LEC Picks for Week 7 of the 2022 Summer Split.

Overall Pick Record: 40-25
Pick Record from LEC Week 6: 6-4
Misfits vs. Astralis
Sure Astralis will ban out Zeri but that won’t matter. Misfits are fighting for pride as much as anything as their org’s final hurrah. Astralis have been making strides but not enough to stop this freight train.
Vitality vs. BDS
There is not a freer win in Europe right now than Team BDS. Vitality are fighting for a top spot after a 2-0 weekend and their winning streak will not stop here.
SK Gaming vs. Fnatic
It is put up or shut up for Fnatic with this one. A loss here would not only be demoralizing for the team but it would mean they would need one major run to make playoffs. They were reminded of victory with their win over BDS and while SK have been playing better, Fnatic need this one and should take it.
Rogue vs. MAD Lions
What an unfortunate time for Rogue to be playing MAD Lions. To be fair, Rogue are probably the best-equipped team to take down the Lions but they look nearly unstoppable right now. This may be a closer one but the Lions continue to roll.
G2 Esports vs. Excel
This game is extraordinarily important for both of these teams. That means it should be one of the best games of the weekend. For Excel, they have been slumping a bit more but their early game style should serve them well as G2 make a lot of early mistakes. This will be another close game but Excel win through bot lane as Mikyx redeems himself.
Vitality have one of the easiest weeks they could ask for. Yet, they seem to drop games in these situations. It is not that Astralis are better but that Vitality have consistently lost random games. This feels like one of those games considering there should be no way anyone loses to BDS.
All Excel have to do is play a safe game and they should win this one. If they do, that would be a 2-0 weekend that was desperately needed. Even if they lose to G2, this game should be here as their safety blanket to not falling too far behind for super week in Week 8.
Misfits are certainly on the up swing right now. Sadly they are running into a roadblock that is hard to bet against. MAD Lions will be challenged again in this game as Vetheo and Neon are cruising right now but so are MAD. Look for Elyoya and Kaiser to carry here.
The losing for Rogue ends here as they dash most of SK’s hopes of playoffs away. Rogue need to win to stay in the hunt for a top spot heading into the super week. SK Gaming are playing well but Malrang will know how to punish Gilius’ mistakes.
Another pivotal game for G2 and their opponents. Only this time, they pull it off. Fnatic have not been playing well as a team and that matters quite a bit against a teamfight heavy team like G2. This will be another close one, one could call it a coin flip but G2 should come out on top.
