LEC Picks Week 4 Summer 2022

Publish Date: July 12, 2022

The LCS is back for the Summer with some teams making a lot of changes and others sticking with their five from the Spring. Each of these teams will be duking it out to not only win an LCS Championship but also to get the chance to go to Worlds. With that people may be wondering who to pick on their way to Worlds. Here are the LEC Picks for Week 4 of the 2022 Summer Split.

Overall Pick Record: 22-13

Pick Record from LEC Week 3: 5-5

LEC Picks Week 4 Summer 2022 Day 1

Excel vs. Astralis

While Astralis have looked better so far this Split, Excel have too and in a much bigger way. With Markoon leading the way and Nukeduck and Patrick following, Excel should win this one handily.

Prediction: Excel Win

MAD Lions vs. Team BDS

xMatty and NUCLEARINT would need to have an incredible game for this one to be close. This is a must-win for the Lions. Look for Nisqy to make plays around the map while Elyoya gets right back in form.

Prediction: MAD Lions Win

Misfits vs. Fnatic

Before Week 3 this one would have made three straight obvious picks. Misfits played well and may be finding their footing. This could cause problems for a Fnatic team that is surprisingly dependent on the play of Razork. It is time for Upset and Hylissang to right the ship. This is the game where they do.

Prediction: Fnatic Win

G2 Esports vs. SK Gaming

Sadly this is another game that should be a very easy pick. That said, G2 struggled a lot in Week 3. If they didn’t have a week-long break, then this game might be closer. With two weeks to prepare, look for G2 to make quick work of SK.

Prediction: G2 Esports Win

Vitality vs. Rogue

Are Vitality starting to figure things out? Sure. But is it enough to take down Rogue who are also figuring things out? No. Or at least, not yet.

Prediction: Rogue Win

LEC Picks Week 4 Summer 2022 Day 2

MAD Lions vs. Astralis

This feels like somewhat of a trap game for MAD. They play so well one game and then weirdly lose the next. While it would be fun to pick Astralis here, they just don’t have the firepower or macro-play to take down MAD.

Prediction: MAD Lions Win

Excel vs. SK Gaming

Excel are firing on all cylinders this Split. SK are not. Unless Gilius goes back to his god-mode and is able to out jungle Markoon, this one is already over and they haven’t played yet.

Prediction: Excel Win

Rogue vs. Team BDS

Rogue are the superior team right now and it’s really not very close. Next.

Prediction: Rogue Win

Misfits vs. G2 Esports

G2 have shown that they are vulnerable and it feels like Misfits could exploit that weakness. Look for G2 to be a bit overaggressive in a bad at dragon while Vetheo and company clean up. This could be a fun one.

Prediction: Mistfits Win

Vitality vs. Fnatic

Fnatic have only lost to Excel and MAD Lions. Those are two teams that are currently much better than Vitality and it is not even due to their talent. Both teams play well together and are better than the sum of their parts. Vitality aren’t. Vitality still have the chance to play at their peak and will challenge Fnatic but ultimately lose a close one.

Prediction:  Fnatic Win
