Goldenglue - Cloud 9 Academy Mid Laner

League Of Legends: 3 Players That Could Be Making Their Way to the LCS

Publish Date: April 7, 2019

It’s that time of season again. With half of 2019 season out of the way, bottom tier teams are looking to make upgrades. Reddit and Twitter are abundant with rumors that players are going to different teams. With money and Summer Split on the line, teams are in a frenzy to make any move they can.

Recently, the 100 Thieves subreddit has been blown to bits by the idea of C9 Academy mid laner Goldenglue being a possible player for their main roster. With Huhi being completely dropped by the org, 100 Thieves are in desperate need for a mid laner. Their Spring Split was absolutely abysmal this season so moving forward with a solid mid laner is priority one.

Despite Soligo moving up to the main roster for the end of the Split, the team continued to falter. A player like Goldenglue can bring a varied set of tools to 100 Thieves to help them try secure playoffs for Summer Split. Being able to play multiple styles, Goldenglue also brings with him a NA residency and experienced play from years in the LCS.

C9A have dominated the academy scene, making it so their players will be quite a pretty penny to sign. If anything, C9’s CEO Jack Etienne has had an interest in selling C9A as a whole as well. Goldenglue going to any other team than C9 is up in the air with his current status on the team.

Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett – Optic Academy to a LCS ROSTER

Dardoch has been a big name ever since he hit the scene here in NA. Being a natural born resident, he’s praised as one of the strongest junglers to come out of America. Though that may be true, so far in 2019 his main position has been on the academy roster for Optic. For a talent like himself, most would expect him to make the move to a main roster sometime soon.

With teams like Clutch Gaming and 100 Thieves needing a possible jungle replacement, now would be Dardoch’s time to shine on a main roster. Clutch Gaming has had a weak showing yet again with jungler Nam “Lira” Tae-yoo and 100 Thieves finished dead last with Andy “AnDa” Hoang. While both junglers have shown promise in past performances, both teams will be looking to aim higher in the standings than ninth and tenth place. Off-Season speculation has thrown the 100 Thieves subreddit into a frenzy with Dardoch being a replacement for AnDa.

Maurice “Amazing” Stückenschneider – Free Agent to LCS Roster

Amazing has played a role in management in the past months for FC Schalke 04’s academy team after he saw great success on their main squad as jungler. Born in Germany, Amazing has had an up and down career here in NA and in EU. Despite being German-born, Amazing has earned a NA Residency which would allow for him to come here to the States for a starting roster.

Certain teams like Clutch and 100 Thieves could be in need of a new jungler. One of the spicier takes from the community, however, is Amazing joining CLG and its main roster. Galen “Moon” Holgate and Raymond “Wiggily” Griffin haven’t been the strongest junglers for CLG in recent times. Alongside that, the team overall has seen an extreme influx of volatile play. A player like Amazing could bring a solid jungler into the mix and could force CLG to evolve rapidly.

Off-season Speculation

As per usual, this is all just community speculation. Twitter follows and poor split performances lead to the social media investigators to start investigating. Nothing is confirmed and everything is up in the air. That’s what the off-season is. Continue to look at for changes in the coming weeks before MSI starts in May.
