NEW UPDATE

Abilities are shown in latest teaser trailer.

  • Looks to have a dash attack similar to Irelia
  • Her dogs are next to her and attack, whether this is with the form change mentioned below or not is not yet known
  • There is a form change
  • She has an ability that looks like Vex’s ultimate where if she hits something she jumps to it and her pack does as well
  • Her pack seems to grow. Assuming this is with levels potentially in her ultimate
  • She has a Sonic-type dash that also goes over wall
  • Her skillshots seem to go through targets as well
  • It looks like her form change is her ultimate and it doubles the number of dogs in her pack
  • Looks as though she adds more to her pack through takedowns

Naafiri Abilities from the Trailer and Small Leak

There is one smaller leak that BigBadBear mentioned that she will be making her way to TFT at some point and that she will have a slashing mechanic. This is not something that should be a major surprise. Especially when looking at the mechanic and the fact that she is a Darkin Dagger.

In the trailer, as mentioned above there is a slashing mechanic. It is seen later in the trailer as she presumably kills someone or her old self. That is not entirely clear.

What else is seen though is the rest of the pack attacking from different angles and from the brush. Riot Games generally puts abilities into trailers in ways that are obvious if the abilities are already known and not if they aren’t. The speculation is that she will have something similar to Rengar when attack from the fog of war or a brush.

Also, there is a likelihood that she will attack with her pack. What that looks like is not entirely clear. But during the trailer, they attack from all sides in something that looks like it may be an ultimate ability.

Lastly, it feels like the new mechanic will be that Naafiri will have her pack around her at all times. She will probably be able to command them similar to if Tibbers or Daisy are out. What the difference will be is not known yet but it is possible that maybe they will just attack automatically as Naafiri does her own thing?

NEW INFORMATION

Here is what the leaker says translated from Twitter into English.

“Naafiri will use Artificial Intelligence There will be “dogs” scattered around the map that help Naafiri during gameplay, their behavior will be defined by Artificial Intelligence behaving like a pack waiting for the right moment to attack and chasing easy prey.”

Regardless, it looks like Naafiri is coming in and coming in hot. She will be quite an interesting champion once she is released and fans are very much looking forward to seeing what she can do.
