League of Legends Milio Revealed as Next Champion

Robert HanesBy Robert HanesMarch 4, 2023Updated:March 4, 20232 Mins Read

During the first Riot Games showcase for 2023, the next League of Legends champion was officially revealed. While it was only the name, there is still some context that was added for this new champion and when they would be coming. Here is the latest on the newest champion coming to League of Legends, Milio.

This champion was teased back in 2022 when they were showing off K’Sante and what fans could expect for 2023. As per usual, there will be anywhere from four to five new champions joining the League of Legends roster. This also is normally a theme revolving around these champions but as of right now, 2023 feels like it may be a little more targeted but in a different way.

The Riot Games dev team has made it clear that these champions are mostly hitting regions and aspects that have not had much love in the past few years. For example, Milio will be the first new champion from Ixtal since Qiyana all the way back in the middle of 2019.

He will be focused on fire as an element. Instead of being damage focused though, he will be a healer. This will certainly be a stark contrast to a champion like Brand, at least in theory.

What else is known about Milio as he joins League of Legends is that he will be an enchanter and is meant to be played in the bot lane as a support. Whether this will stick or not is yet to be seen. The main reason for this is that his abilities have not been revealed, only hinted at. With his release date likely coming sometime in March at the latest, it feels like more will be shown about him sooner than people may think.

Milio has now been revealed. Here is a first look a the new champion.
