The start of the LCS is only a few days away and each role has their top three players. The top three Mid Laners that will shine throughout the 2019 Spring Split will be explored along with their feats.
Crown is by far the biggest improvement to the Optic Gaming roster. He was able to win World’s against SK Telecom in 2017 with a 3-0 sweep. Not only did his team win, but they were also able to without dropping a single game to undoubtedly the best team in League of Legends’ history.
Although he had an upsetting appearance at World’s 2018, he is arguably one of the best Mid Laners in the world. On the international stage, Jensen seemed to out-class him in every matchup. He also lost games to

every other team in their group, including the rookie team, Vitality. Gen G as a whole seemed to struggle all around but his flaws were most notable because of his lack of map awareness.
He doesn’t seem to be as strong as he once was in 2017 but coming to the LCS could cause the old Crown who played for Samsung Galaxy to resurface and take Optic Gaming to the top.

Since his first premiere in the North American scene, he has been one of the most consistent Mid Laners. He has yet to win the title as North America’s best but he has also found More international success than any other domestic Mid Laner. He has played in numerous Finals and plays well when he has the right resources.
One of his flaws is falling under the pressure which causes him to lose his grip on the game in intense situations. He is known for getting frustrated when certain plays fail as well. One of his biggest strengths is when his team plays around his skill level.
His most notable achievement is finishing second in the Group Stages against former World Champions, Gen.G. He was also able to assist his former team, Cloud9, to the Semi-Finals at World’s where they fell short against Fnatic.
Even in the LCS, Jensen continues to be a solid Mid Laner. With Team Liquid he has the potential to finally win the title as the North American Champion.
During his time in the North American LCS, he has become the face of TeamSoloMid. Due to TSM’s lack of success in 2018, a lot of criticism fell on Bjergsen. It was stated that he has become too passive and no longer plays as well as he used to when he was younger. He has mentioned multiple times it is hard for him to call all of the shots while also trying to play his role.
Even with all of the negative remarks, he continues to rank upon the top 3 in his role. He had the highest solo kills of any other player in the 2018 Summer Split. He has shown his ability to carry when the situation calls for it and is mechanically one of the best.

Bjergsen has received the nickname as the NA Faker because of how well he is able to play when it comes to high-pressure situations. Bjergsen rarely loses lane and needs minimum help doing so. He is often one of the most proactive members on his team and knows how to play around other lanes.
Compared to other Mid Laners, he remains number one because of his lane dominance against everyone else. In 2019, this will be Bjergsen’s time to regain his title as North America’s best.
