During the first Riot Games showcase for 2023, the third League of Legends champion was officially revealed. They did not have a name for it, only that it would be something that would live in a castle that looked similar to something from Castlevania. Now during the latest League of Legends champion Roadmap, a name was revealed, Briar. Also the League of Legends Briar Splash Art has been leaked. Here is a look at the little vampire girl.

Briar is certainly going to be an interesting champion. More because of what she is than anything else. She is a vampire. What is interesting is that League of Legends already has Vladimir. But is he really a vampire?
The answer to that one, is no.
Vladimir is actually a Blood Mage and although he looks like a vampire and is named after one, he is not a vampire. Instead, he uses hemomancy which again is Blood Magic.
Now it would seem as though Briar will potentially be a combination of Vladimir and Warwick. There was a hunger mechanic described for the champion. This was something that was hard for Briar to control and could have led to her taking out most of Noxus. Even the pictures they have used to describe her are interesting but still have not shown much.

She is actually using a Pillory as a weapon. This was something that was used to detain people back in time. They would put their head and hands through the holes which would then be locked down. Passerbyers would through food at them and mock them as this was usually in the middle of the town square. It will be interesting to see how she uses it as her weapon.
