During the first Riot Games showcase for 2023, the third League of Legends champion was officially revealed. They did not have a name for it, only that it would be something that would live in a castle that looked similar to something from Castlevania. Now during the latest League of Legends champion Roadmap, a name was revealed, Briar. Here is the potential Release Date for the third champion coming to League of Legends in 2023, Briar.

Briar is certainly going to be an interesting champion. More because of what she is than anything else. She is a vampire. What is interesting is that League of Legends already has Vladimir. But is he really a vampire?
The answer to that one, is no.
Vladimir is actually a Blood Mage and although he looks like a vampire and is named after one, he is not a vampire. Instead, he uses hemomancy which again is Blood Magic.
Now it would seem as though Briar will potentially be a combination of Vladimir and Warwick. There was a hunger mechanic described for the champion. This was something that was hard for Briar to control and could have led to her taking out most of Noxus. Even the pictures they have used to describe her are interesting but still have not shown much.
There is no doubt that Briar should be coming out soon. The hope will be that she is added before the League of Legends Worlds Championship.
It looks as though Briar will be coming sooner than everyone thought. The League of Legends Briar Release Date should be out sometime in September at the latest based on information provided by RiotMeddler. The likely patch is 13.18 which is September 13, 2023 respectively.
This means that the League of Legends Briar PBE Release Date should be with 13.17 which is August 30, 2023 respectively.
