For the past few years the LCS has had a Fan Fest. This is a way for the teams, their sponsors and the LCS to not only honor the fans, but give them a great experience. Houston had a great one as well but the LCS Fan Fest at Chicago was certainly a great experience.

This split nine of the ten LCS teams participated in Fan Fest. Only DIG were unable to attend. For all of the different teams, they had rewards and handouts for their fans. Along with that sponsors showed out. Bud Light had their Bud Light Next lounge for fans to hangout. FTX were handing out “Coins” for fans to use at their booth. Then Verizon and Red Bull came as well.
But it was the fans that made this event. They waited in the heat, some for hours, for a chance to get in and support their favorite orgs. They were dressed in cosplays of their favorite champions and skins. They met friends who they had only played League of Legends with for the first time in person. They flocked to grab as much merch and even take pictures with Team Liquid’s four LCS trophies.
To hit the more diehard fans as well, players and other League of Legends celebrities met with their fans. Tyler1 talked with and took pictures with thousands of fans. Travis Gafford and MarkZ had the CEO’s of the top three teams on Hotline League while taking questions from fans. Even former players like Damonte of CLG were there to show their fans their appreciation for their support.
Fan Fest is a major event surrounding the games. It is a way for all of those who love League of Legends and the LCS to be together, to be fans with no inhibitions. For those who have ever considered going to a League of Legends event, do it. Not only will the games be fun, but all of the fun surrounding them truly makes the tickets and travel worth it.
