Just like that, it is 2022 and League of Legends is still bringing out skins for a lot of champions that have not had many in the past few years. They are starting the year by bringing out new skins for previous lines. This time though, they revealed a stand-alone skin for Viego. Here is a look at the new King Viego skin.

This is a very interesting skin. The main reason is that the Skin Team for League of Legends released Gangplank the Betrayer not too long ago. This was from the first Riot Games RPG, “The Ruined King”. While not celebrated much, the game has received a lot of great ratings and is a great dive into the League of Legends Lore, specifically surrounding Viego and the Shadow Isles.
Even one can see his recall animation showing his love, Isolde.

In the game, players play as a motley crew of League of Legends champions. They are Miss Fortune, Braum, Illaoi, Yasuo, Ahri and Pyke. They are trying to figure out what is going on in Bilgewater, specifically with the Black Mist attacks. It is basically a setup for the “Sentinels of Light” event.
Players get to explore Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles in a very fun and interesting way. This skin was likely expected to come eventually. Now that it is out is shows the more loving and caring side of Viego, before he is turned. The King Viego skin will likely be very popular amongst mains, causal players and pros alike.
