Immortals Finalizing Buyout for Revenge from FlyQuest

According to Jacob Wolf, Immortals are finalizing a buyout of Revenge from FlyQuest and their academy team. He will be inserted to the starting lineup as Immortals new top laner. The details of the buyout are not currently known.

This comes as a pretty big surprise for numerous reasons. For starters, there are a lot of potential options with more experience if nothing else. Not only that, but they just drafted arguably the best player at Scouting Grounds in Tony Top and then decided not to sign him. It seems odd that they would not only buyout a player who is not seen to be as highly lauded but then also pay him a salary on top of that when they had other options available.

Clearly, the new Immortals coaching staff is seeing something that no one else is. If nothing else, they are giving young talent a chance which is something that the LCS has needed for many years. It will be interesting to see how this move plays out.
