FlyQuest Acquired By Florida Panthers Owners, the Viola Family

The last few years has been an amazing journey for FlyQuest. From being “Team Snickers” to changing their identity to being a green planet saving company, FlyQuest has been gaining fans all around the globe.

Today, the Viola Family, owners of Sunrise Sports and Entertainment, have acquired FlyQuest. Sunrise Sports and Entertainment have experience in the, well, sports and entertainment industry as they are the owners of the NHL Franchise, The Florida Panthers.

What does this mean for the future of FlyQuest though? Well, it seems like little will change. In the press release, FlyQuest said:

“FlyQuest will continue to grow as an organization focused on advocacy, sustainability, and giving back to the community. Under its new ownership, FlyQuest is prepared to continue the brand’s legacy of “Showcasing Greatness” with exciting activations, partnerships, and continued expansion in esports.”

So FlyQuest fans, don’t worry, the brand you know and love will not be going anywhere.

One interesting note about the FlyQuest press release is that they are:

“Excited to lead FlyQuest in its next chapter as a mission-driven organization that competes at the highest level both in North America and on the world stage.”

FlyQuest, all things considered, have been a great addition to the LCS, but have struggled to have consistently stellar seasons. The exception to this was 2020 where FlyQuest made back to back LCS Finals and attended Worlds 2020’s Group Stage. They ended with a 3-3 record, notably taking a game off Top Esports, whose only Group Stage loss was to FlyQuest and were favorites heading into the tournament. This statement reads as doubling down on getting back to the international stage and pushing FlyQuest to a “Tier 1” LCS Org.
