While rumors have been floating around about Evil Geniuses off-season changes all break, this is the first and it’s a big one. Danny is joining the LCS. Danny or better known as Shiro was the breakout 17 year old ADC from Evil Geniuses Prodigies. His talent is truly next level and stood amount among his peers.
Expect flashy plays and his signature pick Samira. Unfortunately, this seems to be the end of the line of Deftly. Deftly had his struggles specifically in team fights throughout the season. Seems like EG wants to fix this with the team fight monster Danny.
But who is replacing him on Prodigies? Shoryu from Academy is joining Prodigies due to visa issues. EG is doing in person in LA for Academy for the Summer and he can’t make it. Furthermore, TeamLuke from Wildcard is joining Academy. He is also a really great young ADC talent and it’s amazing to see him picked up. Furthermore, Mist was also dropped from Prodigies. He is being replaced by SkyTec, a breakout support who played for AOE Brady.
All in all these EG changes seem to be focused on long term young talent growth. It is incredibly exciting to see an LCS roster embrace this.
