To help out their exciting new roster, Cloud9 brought in some of the biggest brains in League of Legends. On Friday December 4, Cloud9 announced three new members of their coaching staff – Alfonso “mithy” Aguirre Rodríguez, Marius “Veigar V2” Arune, and Max Waldo.
As the new Cloud9 strategic coach, Mithy will be reunited with former bot lane partner Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen. The two formerly played together on G2 in the LEC, and more recently played together on TSM in the LCS. Mithy joins Cloud9 after spending the last year coaching Fnatic.

Also joining the coaching staff is former Fnatic coach Veigar V2, who had been let go from the team due to past remarks. It appears that Cloud9 are willing to look past a questionable history if they believe Veigar V2 can bring results. Rounding out the coaching staff is Max Waldo, a newer coach to the scene that has worked with Nick “LS” De Cesare previously, including a boot camp in Korea.
