Broken Blade is heading to Schalke 04

Publish Date: November 16, 2020

According to Jacob Wolf, Broken Blade has been bought out from TSM and will be heading to Schalke 04. He will be taking the place of Odoamne who is heading to Rogue. The details of the deal are not yet known.

The rumor had been that TSM were looking for a new home for Broken Blade. It seemed like they were ready to move on and were able to find him a home on a team that possibly made the most incredible run in League of Legends history. Schalke went from zero wins to making the playoffs and even winning their first-round playoff series against SK Gaming. They will be adding a player who made a similar run in the LCS with TSM as they went on to win an LCS title.

For Broken Blade this was a little surprising. He had been playing well but struggled mightily in his first Worlds appearance. Now he will be replacing one of the best top laners in LEC history and will be replaced by Huni. It will be interesting to see how he adjusts going back over to Europe and playing in what is a much deeper league than the LCS.
